Jim and Elaine Russell of Imagine Kitchens & Baths
Before opening Imagine Kitchens & Baths in 2006, Jim and Elaine Russell picked up their East Coast roots and sold their New Hampshire business Upcountry Kitchens & Baths (established 1985). They moved to Colorado to be close to their children— a daughter in Golden and a son in Denver.
They brought with them a "treat others like you want to be treated" business mentality. In the Spring of 2007, Jeanne Wisner, another experienced designer, was ready to make her move from Long Island, N.Y. to Denver. Jeanne has been in the business of designing Kitchens and Baths for 13 years in both New York and Denver. As the Sales Design Project Manager, Jeanne follows each job from beginning to end, offering one point of contact for each client. This allows for a more personal experience with the team. By May 1st the TEAM was complete. Jeanne and Jim, two experienced Designers, were remodeling Colorado kitchens and baths and Elaine was busy managing the showroom and furnishing all the new displays.
Imagine Kitchens specializes in a FULL SERVICE remodel of a kitchen or bath. They are responsible for the planning, design and a coordinated installation process, on a planned time frame and at a pre-quoted, fixed budget. "We work closely with the clients throughout the process to make sure everything is what they want and that it is done in a manner that maintains quality on the project" Jim says. "There is one team, us, responsible for everything and we hold everyone accountable".
Their talented INSTALLERS are integral to this process. They work on a consistent basis with the same subcontractors, in one case for over 20 years, in both Colorado and New Hampshire. "Our contractors have learned our expectations", Jim says, "They know how their work is part of the whole project and they understand the cooperation and planning that requires".
The SHOWROOM plays a vital role in helping the client to "see" their new room at the start of the process. There are six kitchens which are fully developed ideas with cabinets, counters, appliances, fixtures, floors, lighting and wall treatments. Three more bath displays are then complemented by a dozen assorted Vanities, Desks and a Buffet. In each case, the customer can refine their likes and dislikes and move towards a choice which meets their taste and budget. This is a "hands on" experience for the customer. They have cabinet and counter samples for the customer to take to one of their tile or plumbing suppliers to complete the process.
OUR VENDORS have the bigger, more specific showrooms to complete the process. Need a tub or whirlpool, Water Systems shows 35, along with hundreds of faucets. Our three tile vendors have thousands of choices. Jim or Jeanne will often meet a client at the vendors showroom, to help put together a room that will look great and meet the budget.
